“I work with various global automotive OEMs in the power train team and have experience on multiple global platforms in the last 20+ years. However EVs seem to be changing entire automotive industry, and despite understanding EV and hybrid powertrain design, I didn’t have full EV systems integration modeling and simulation skills. This course took that last fear away. I am so happy that I did this course, and recommend strongly to learn from Vikrant, who understands it so thoroughly and is so patient with his unique teaching style”.
– Senior Consultant in one of the top Automotive Consultancies
“I and my partner were able to model e-Bus and its range performance under different route real driving characteristics, including AC on/off, and the project work learning as part of this course was amazing. I feel highly empowered as a Transport Planner and more connected to why e-Buses and what important planning considerations”.
– Transport Planner & Consultant
“The course and deep practicals have enabled me to model and understand different EV sub-systems interactions and impact on end performance. This has strengthened my consulting skills”.
– e-Mobility Management Consultant
“EVs will take over ICEs in some time, and being a global supplier to ICE OEMs, we needed internal knowledge and team building on EVs to be able to pick up knowledge discussion with our clients who are moving to EVs. This intense theory + hands-on practical course with strong teaching style has equipped me with knowledge to lead the internal strategy and new initiatives team at company to plan adding right EV sub-systems and engage our OEM clients”.
– Senior BD Executive, Automotive Supplier OEM
“Trainers have deep knowledge on EV systems integration and I was able to reflect and discuss real-life EV product design, development and testing issues. I was able to apply knowledge and engage my products team better. We are now looking forward to in-build model-based design in our processes strongly”.
– Technical Head of one EV OEM
“It started steep with myself coming from the transportation planning background, but with some work and Trainers’ kind assistance I am surprised that I have modeled e-Trucks and understand the dynamics that goes behind viable fleet operations. I doubt such learning could have come in short span of 7 weeks anywhere. I recommend this course to all my transport planner community, who look at electric buses as new beast. It will no more be after you get done this course”.
– Transport Engineer cum Planner & Consultant
“I am thrilled to pick skills in excel and Sci-Lab as a fresher out of engineering. Apart from great course learnings on EVs system engineering, the common project presentation at the end of course allowed me to learn varied applications of course learnings to e-2Ws, e-3Ws, e-cars, e-SUVs, e-Buses, e-Trucks, solar charging, and others. Thank you pManifold for this wonderful addition in my skills. First I was not sure, but every money is worth. And thank you for special consideration to accommodate my passion and some financial constraints”.

How will be the online practicals conducted ?
For practical session, each trainee will require a computer system with Excel and Scilab softwares installed in it. Trainees will have to share their computer screens for showing their simulation model and for the trainer to review and help resolved any issue with it. Trainees will build their own simulation model to have this hands-on experience.
What is EV Performance Planning for E commerce & Freight Delivery
It will enable you to develop a holistic understanding of EV Energy Modeling, Risks of Vehicle / charger breakdowns, Route scheduling, and Battery-Charger sizing. It will allow Freight Transporters to understand the EV fleet relevant policies, and also how to diagnose the existing EV Fleet for effective operations.
How the simulation modeling help in Vehicle development ?
Simulation models are a preferred development tool due to following reasons
They can help incorporate customer expectations into the product as early as conceptualization
They can help derive accurate sub-systems technical specifications from vehicle requirements
They are useful for technology cost-to-benefit studies
They are useful to do trade-offs by generating all possible scenarios for comparison
They make design optimization very easy and robust
They can be used to perform failure mode effect analysis on design as well as system
They can also be used for sub-system and system validation in extreme operating conditions
They can also simulate different driver behaviors and their impact on the system
Do not know about Scilab, how can I manage to learn?
Scilab is a free alternative to MATLAB and can be downloaded by anyone from. If you have not used MATLAB before, there will be a dedicated 2-hour session on how to use Scilab during the training.
Do I need to buy textbook?
It is not necessary to buy a textbook for this course and regular notes will be provided to the trainees. However, you are free to buy any book that you feel relevant to your interest or role and use it as a reference during the course. You may even quote from that book in the assignments.
How the certification is valuable?
The certification by Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) is well recognized and valued across Indian automobile industry due to the following reasons
ASDC is the automotive industry focused arm of National Skills Development Council (NSDC) which is a part of Skills India initiative by the Government ASDC works closely with bodies like Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) and Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA).
How the learning of this program are beneficial?
Application of generic systems engineering principles to development, integration and validation of electric vehicles is a necessity for both- OEMs and Suppliers. System engineering approach is well known for its robustness, customer focus, traceability, and ease of system optimization. Virtual simulation is a very vital tool for systems engineering as it provides good direction and data points for critical decision making early in the vehicle development program.
This course is focused on imparting systems engineering skills by applying through usage of virtual simulation tools.
Which educational background is needed to attend this program?
Anyone professional or aspiring engineer who has completed at least 2 years of engineering degree program will find this course easy to learn. However, others can also apply and take up this course by putting extra efforts. We would be happy to advice on a case to case basis if you wish to seek our counsel.
Which tool will be needed to access the program sessions?
It is strongly recommended to have a desktop or a laptop for this course as it is heavy on hands-on modeling and simulations. Such modeling and simulation activities are not feasible on smartphones or even tablets. The course will require the usage of MS Excel and Scilab (a free alternative of MATLAB) for calculations and simulations, respectively. Without a proper computer system and these tools, it will be extremely challenging to qualify for certification.
