As per World Bank data on CO2 statistics in India, decreased trend observed from 2019 to 2020 by 7.81% which can be the result of many initiatives towards reducing CO2 emission and one of them is electrification of vehicle across the country i.e. increased sale of electric vehicles in 2019-20 by 16.52%.
The regulatory push in the country to reduce emissions is the strong driving force to adopt e-Trucks – Pure electric integration with fuel cell across the logistics and transport sectors, which may reduce global CO2 emissions by 3 to 5%. Pure electric truck uses energy stored in batteries as a power source which are charged with electricity from the grid. e – Truck integration with fuel cell technology (FCEV) is fuelled with hydrogen which is converted to electricity while the vehicle is being driven.
Diesel truck running at 12 kph with 15% of its maximum loaded capacity gives average efficiency of about 20%. On the other hand, the electric drivetrain will have about 80% efficiency with the same load capacity. Together with some brake and wheel energy regeneration and more efficient auxiliary drives, this will lead to five times higher efficiency for the electric drive. Even though the e-Truck range is lower than equivalent ICE truck However, the energy efficiency is significantly higher.
The global training program of pManifold’s EV academy (https://pmanifoldevacademy.com/courses) on “e-Truck Systems Integration – Pure Electric & Fuel Cell” will enable you to gain a comprehensive understanding of the e-Trucks eco system, sub-systems, and working principles, as well as various terminologies. Most importantly, you will learn how to model and integrate sub-systems using tools such as Excel and Sci-Lab.
This training programme will guide you through theoretical and practical lessons to assist in the selection of trucks, battery, charging infrastructure, transit network, and route planning considerations, as well as an understanding of the overall impact on e-Truck operations. You will be able to read and comprehend technical document and specifications of e-Truck sub-systems, trainees will be able to do independent design, research, and development work via virtual models.
